New Merca-Hostal avileño for those who provide tourism services
The first market destined to wholesale marketing to self-employed workers offering services to tourism, both foreign and national non-state, was inaugurated this Saturday in this province of Ciego de Ávila.

This new sales method is carried out in the Merca-Hostal unit, belonging to the Base Business Unit (UEB) of Frutas Selectas, attached to the Agriculture system, and is located in the historic center of the Avilanian capital, on the corner that form Independencia and Narciso López streets.
With this, there are nine establishments that, with the same social purpose -potentiate city tourism- already operate in the national territory. Villa Clara, which has two; while the rest are located in the provinces of Sancti Spíritus, Camagüey, Granma, Holguín, Santiago de Cuba and Havana.
Out of a total of 103 potential customers registered, the Merca-Hostal of the City of Portales has signed contracts with 85, which are duly registered and with their respective patents, in the bodies that control the self-employed activity, according to Adrián Miranda. del Valle, head of purchases in the UEB.
Clients have a wide range of fresh agricultural products, some of which are widely demanded by visitors and also national ones, are kept in cold stores, among them potatoes and black, red and white beans, and chickpeas, to guarantee its presence throughout the year.
They also market industrialized products and others made by beekeeping and, soon, they will include those produced by Labiofam. All have the corresponding quality certification.
One of the self-employed present: Abel Curbelo Verano, said that this is a step forward, "one of the many that can be given and that are necessary both for us and for the State itself. Here we can solve part of our needs; the products have good quality, which is reverted in benefit of the services we offer ".
