HostelCuba 2019 the perfect opportunity for the tourist infrastructure in Cuba
On Tuesday, the 3rd edition of the Fair dedicated to Hospitality, Catering and Tourism Services was inaugurated, HostelCuba 2019 at the Pabexpo fairground, with the presence of the first deputy minister of the Ministry of Tourism in Cuba, Juan Carlos Garcia Granda; the Vice President of the Palco business group, Pablo Sosa; the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, Rubén Ramos; and the Director of Fira Barcelona Internacional, Ricard Zapatero, as well as ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
Organized by the Palco and Fira Barcelona International group, under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, HostelCuba is the ninth international professional fair organized jointly by both leaders in the fair organization in Cuba and Spain, in order to to promote such an important sector as hotel, restaurant and tourist services, as well as to facilitate the knowledge and materialization of investment opportunities approved by the Cuban government.
The event becomes the ideal framework to present, support and catalyze progress and opportunities, not only within the sector promoted here, but also as a forum for updating the main trends and technologies in such a dynamic sector.
In exclusive declarations to Excelencias about the potential of this fair for the tourism sector in the country, the first vice minister, Juan Carlos García Granda, affirmed us that this type of event is the perfect opportunity to show what is now commercialized and produced, and in such a meaning about producers, marketers and final customers.
"For us as a country, it is very good that it takes place in Cuba, that allows a lot more public to have an opportunity to appreciate and exchange, to see the quality and to listen to the advantages they offer; and for the exporter it is also a possibility to know the needs that customers have ".
To say of Zapatero, this third edition of HostelCuba will be one of the best editions of trade fair events seen in Cuba, where it is expected that participating companies can contribute in a rich and profitable for all, with the introduction of their technologies and innovations.
In his opinion, tourism is a great source of income, not only for the economy and the utility of a country, but it is also an important source of exchange, knowledge, activity and information. It is one of the sectors that most pushes the different economic sectors of the country.
"If we have a quality tourism and quality structures for it, then that pushes the transport structures, the structures of the industry, and in Spain we know well of that," said Zapatero.
Exhibitors from 18 countries represented here show that it is not just a fair that takes place in Cuba and for Cuba, but also takes place here, in order to turn the city into one of the most important fair centers for holding events in Cuba. This part of the world, Zapatero concluded.
Until next May 30, 120 exhibitors from some 18 countries, including 10 national companies will showcase their portfolio of businesses, technologies, equipment, supplies, beverages and food for the leisure industry, making Havana an important venue meeting between importers and exporters of the sector, said Garcia Granda, who concluded by thanking organizers and exhibitors for the realization of this event.
"We are pleased to welcome you here, in Havana, involved in a conductive action to celebrate the 500th anniversary of its foundation. I wish success to all the entrepreneurs and I officially declare inaugurated this third edition of HostelCuba 2019. "
