At the gates the IX International Gastronomic Seminar Excelencias Gourmet
In a press conference held with the presence of Mr. José Carlos de Santiago, President of the Excelencias Group and Vice President of the Ibero-American Academy of Gastronomy (AIBG); Jorge Ignacio Coromina, Correspondent of the Excelencias Group in Cuba; María Esther Abreu, teacher of FORMATUR; MsC David J. Varela Mateo de Acosta, General Director of Tropicana and Alexis Triana in charge of the Editorial Projects of the Excelencias Group showed that everything is ready for the celebration in Havana, on September 25, 26 and 27, of the IX Gourmet Excellencies International Gastronomic Seminar.
In the meeting with the press, held at the internationally known Cabaret Tropicana and host of this new edition of the Seminar, Mr. De Santiago thanked Tropicana and Empresa Extrahotelera Palmares SA for the welcome, and it was known that the event will be a space conducive to the debate and reflection on the new trends of the gastronomic sector and the exchange of experiences among the professionals present. It will include lectures and master classes, show cooking, as well as tasting sessions and harmonies of different products.
With the presence of important personalities from the gastronomic world, the Seminar -valued by the Ibero-American Academy of Gastronomy (AIBG) and with the support of the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba (MINTUR), the System of Professional Training for Tourism in Cuba (FORMATUR) , the Federation of Culinary Associations of the Republic of Cuba, and the Association of Bartenders of Cuba and the Cuban Sommelier Club-, will focus on round-trip cooking and will join the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the Villa of San Cristóbal de La Habana.
Among the collateral activities, the exhibition that will be inaugurated with the winning works of the photographic contest called by Arte por Excelencias y Excelencias Gourmet for the occasion, as well as the traditional 15 x 15 competition in which participating lovers of the gourmet world participate.
