Belgian athlete Nafissatou Thiam fell in love with Cuba.
The Belgian athlete Nafissatou Thiam revealed her passion for Cuba these days on the Instagram social network with several photos of a trip to the largest of the Antilles.
Thiam, 25, Rio Olympic champion in 2016 and world champion in London 2017, published a series of images on the island where he is very happy and expresses his admiration for the beauty of its landscapes.
"Hello from Havana, this country is too cute, totally in love," said the star of world athletics at the foot of one of the images from the Cuban capital.
Among other locations Thiam appears enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the town of Viñales, in the province of Pinar del Río, land where the prestigious Cuban tobacco is grown.
He was also seen in the waterfalls of Topes de Collantes, another of the most precious environments of Cuban geography and posing next to classic cars in Havana.
Thiam, born on August 19, 1994 in Brussels, is a Belgian mother and Senegalese father. Among its medals, the gold medal in the 2018 European Championship also stands out. Two years ago she was voted the “World Athlete” by the IAAF. In 2019, he won the national record in heptathlon, javelin and women's long jump.
