Boca de Camarioca is a town in the province of Matanzas. It is part of the municipality of Varadero as well as the towns of Santa Marta and Varadero. It is located at the mouth of the river Camarioca, and extends along the coast to the east to the beach of Los Pinos and west to Los Caletones (on both banks of the river), to the north it borders the coast and to the south with fields cultivated henequen.
The population has educational centers, baseball stadium, volleyball field, market square.
The houses are concentrated on the banks of the Camarioca river and on the land between the coast and on both sides of the Havana-Varadero highway.
At the eastern end of the town there are "the Caletones de Boca de Camarioca", which are two inlets formed by the erosion of the sea in the rock, leaving mogotes that protrude from the sea. The small beach "El Buren" occupies the center of the old part of the town, in front of the church and the beach of "Los Pinos" establishes the northeast limit.
In recent years its population has grown rapidly by absorbing the former residents of the fishing village "Las Morlas" relocated by the government. Vacadero workers' homes have also been erected and building permits issued to private individuals. There are also rental houses for foreign tourists who choose the place because of its easy access to the beach of Varadero.
