Valle del Yumurí

Valley of the Yumurí. It is one of the most beautiful on this island, with a plain that reaches 80 hectares in its widest part and elevations of up to 150 meters and in which important archaeological remains and the endemic plant species Melocactus matanzanus are conserved. The Valley of the Yumurí is located in the Heights of Havana Matanzas, 1 km north of the city of Matanzas.

To the human eye, the Yumurí Valley is an exceptional conjunction that obliges, if not to visit, at least to stop along the way to contemplate it from the "Bacunayagua" viewpoint, very close to the island's highest bridge, with an elevation of 110 meters, and that constitutes one of the wonders of Cuban civil engineering.
